photoSCHWEIZ

photoSCHWEIZ is the largest and most important exhibition of photography in Switzerland. In 2021 it showed works by 200 Swiss photographers. The 10-day exhibition was complemented by 16 special exhibitions, which took up spirit of the time themes such as death, identity and diversity and presented them in a visually powerful way. This execution of photoSCHWEIZ, which took place for the first time not at the beginning of January but at the beginning of July, is an important step back to normality. It showed that, despite all the pandemic-related adversities, many photographers made creative use of the Corona period. “With our curators, I am quite excited about the quality and bubbling creativity of Edition 2021,” says producer Michel Pernet.

With more than 30,000 visitors, photoSCHWEIZ is one of the most important European work shows for photography. It is a source of inspiration for the industry and provides a platform for talented photographers. The show was curated by Daniel Bolliger, Neomie Gamliel and Joshua Amissah.

The photoSCHWEIZ took place in hall parts A and B.
